Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone,

Well we have had a wonderful first Christmas here in Etty Bay.

Ate too much & definitely drank toooo much! I guess you can all guess what our New Year's Resolution is going to be :)

We had a wonderful time with our Daughter Shantelle & her Fiancee Peter visiting us.

We had the usual big roast meal:

Pete certainly enjoyed it!

The next day after a very lazy morning we went down to the beach.

The next day we drove up past Cairns to Hartleys Crocodile Adventures:

There are other animals as well as Crocs

They are very friendly

Of course they had Crocs & some pretty big ones too!

We nearly lost Pete!

Imagine seeing him in the water next to you !

Then on Saturday there was a huge fire across from us in the bush:

It was still burning last night, but it has been raining pretty much all day today so I think it would be out now.

Well that's all for now, over the next week or so I will try to get our year in photo's post put on - that always takes a long time.

Merry Christmas To All

Happy Christmas Mate!

To all our Friends Family & Followers we wish you all a wonderful Christmas.

Dave & I are busy getting settled in our lovely new home.

We have been in the Garden weeding as the rains haven't started yet we have had to do a lot of watering.

This fellow visits us most nights on the Patio.

We still have to pinch ourselves to believe we are really here it is so beautiful, we are surrounded by beautiful hill full of rain forests.

From our Patio we can see Queensland's 2 biggest mountains - Bartle Frere & Bellenden Ker:

The beach is a 5 minute drive away:

& the Sunsets are magnificent:

Our New Adventures

Well loyal followers a lot has happened since our last update including this new blog
Firstly we are no longer in Adelaide.
Second big news is that we now own a beautiful home in lovely Etty Bay Qld!

But I will try not to get ahead of myself & explain a few things.

We flew to Cairns in November & purchased the house. When we fly back to Adelaide to our van, Dave found out he had been made redundant!!!!!!!
We were expecting this but not until after Christmas - but atleast this way we could drive the van up to our house quicker :)

So we headed off on Friday 23rd November, taking our time & calling into visit some friends along the way.
we stopped at Broken Hill & then onto Nyngin where we found a great little Caravan Park by the river
it even had its own little Zoo:

Camels, Goats &  Donkeys.

Then we moved onto Dubbo to see our Friends Tracey & Dave

Then we crossed the border into Queensland - our new home state!

 We spent the night in Dalby & then we were onto Maroochydore to see Rob & Marg & their friends Mark & Trudy. We had a great couple of days with them. They were staying at a C/Park right on the beach it was beautiful:

We left there & headed for our favourite place - The Bundy Factory!!!!!!

We had a night in a free camp then onto Charters Towers to visit our Daughter Shantelle.
We stayed there for 3 days, it was good to catch up with her & our friend Karen over a few drinks!

At last time to head off to our new home - Etty Bay Queensland.

Well now I have caught everyone up to date with our New Adventures - house based!

Shantelle & Pete are coming up for a few days after Christmas, looking forward to that.

We hope all our new & old followers have a wonderful Christmas & many happy travels in the New Year.
