Our First Caravan Visitors

Hi All,
We have just had our great friends Rob & Marg visit for a few days & we had a wonderful time catching up.
It had been about 6 months since we have seen each other so had a fair bit to talk about :)

Unfortunately the weather was crap - more rain!!!!!!
But we did have one nice day so we had a visit to Paronella Park

We spent a lovely couple of hours walking around the magnificent gardens which included an hour guided tour to tell us all the history of the place.
After that we had the best lunch at the Mena Creek Hotel  just up the road:

Well it has been a while since I posted so thought I better get to it.

Not too much going on up here but here are a few things worth mentioning.

Firstly a very good friend of mine Narelle & her boys were on a Cruise up the coast & they had a full day stop over in Cairns, so of course I drove up to spend the day with them.

The weather was absolutely perfect. The ship docked at Yorkey's Knob north of Cairns. It was a fair way out & they came in on the Tenders.

We caught a coach into Cairns & the boys went their separate ways & Relle & I spent the day window shopping & sight seeing.

 It was really great to catch up with her again - hopefully it wont be so long next time!

My birthday was coming up & I didn't have anything planned as Dave would be away at work, but that all changed rather quickly with a visit from our eldest Daughter Bec & our Grandaughter Ruby on the 4th July.

We went to the Innisfail Show - not the best weather for it:

Then Shantelle drove up from Charters Towers on the 12th Just in time for Ruby's 1st Birthday on the 13th & my --th on the 14th!

Then it was off to the park for a picnic lunch & feed the Ducks & Geese:

& Cake - no we ate that!

Then back home for more Bubbles & Cake

We had a lovely lunch at a local pub & then Shantelle had a long drive home - it was so great to see her & I know she loved seeing Ruby & Bec.

On Monday Bec, Ruby & I drove to Cairns to pick Dave up.

Time for Poppy to spend time with Ruby.

Then Ruby got to open our presents:

Well Dave has gone back to work & Bec & Ruby have gone home to W.A. It is very quiet in the house now. We had a wonderful couple of weeks.
